Good news for fans of Dark Corner Ale, the 2007 collaboration brew from Arbor Brewing and Dark Horse Brewing: It's coming back this spring.
The release party is scheduled for March 29, 6-8pm, at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti, a free event for Mug Club members or $10 for nonmembers. Six packs will be available in April, with half of the bottles from Dark Horse's facility in Marshall and half originating from Corner's system.
If you missed it, here's the description for the 2007 edition of the beer, an imperial brown that was released in June of that year:
A nice bold summer beer with a huge floral hoppy nose, medium body, and a well balanced palate full of bready carmelly malts balanced by rich floral hops. Medium carbonation contributes to the drinkability of this unique ale.Corner's Matt Greff says the 2011 version will be much the same as its fondly remembered predecessor, with aggressive hops and malt flavoring and a 7.5% ABV.
In the words of a certain television cook, yum-o!
