The semifinals begin tonight for the first annual Ashley's Invitational Brewery Throwdown in Westland. First round victors Short's Brewing and Saugatuck Brewing square off to see who will advance to the finals, scheduled for April 4. Unlike the first round, this time each brewery is bringing six different beers. Come out from 6 p.m. to midnight and vote for your favorites (by buying and drinking them, of course). Follow the jump for the lineup (with the usual "subject to potential last-minute changes" caveat).
Short's beers:
- The Good Samaritan Belgian Amber Ale
- The Woodmaster Double Brown Ale
- Raisin Apollo Double IPA
- Publican Imperial London Porter
- Pistachio Cream Ale
- Hopstache IPA
Saugatuck's beers:
- Oval Beach Blonde Ale
- Hop on a Blonde Ale
- Black Pale Ale
- Singapore IPA
- Neapolitan Milk Stout
- ESB Amber
Who will prevail? You'll never know unless you go! OK, you'll probably know since I'll post about it again later. But you won't be able to try any of these cool beers. Did you ever think of that, smart guy?
